Aerospace Production CNC Operator - Grand Prairie Tx

Payrate: $23.03 Hourly

2nd Shift - 1:30PM - 10:00PM

We are seeking ahighly skilled and experienced CNC Operatorto join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience operating and programming CNC machines withpreferred familiarity with Zimmermann high-speed milling machines. This role requires a detail-oriented professional capable of producing precision components while maintaining the highest standards of quality safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate set up and monitorCNC milling machines with a focus onZimmermann portal/gantry milling systems
• Read and interpretengineering drawings blueprints and CAD/CAM filesto determine machining requirements
• Write edit and optimizeCNC programs(G-code/M-code) for complex part geometries
• Performtool selection tool changes and offsetsto ensure dimensional accuracy
• Conductfirst-article inspectionsand in-process quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers micrometers CMM)
• Identify and resolvemachine faults tooling issues and program errorsproactively
• Performroutine maintenanceand coordinate with maintenance teams for scheduled servicing
• Maintain accurateproduction records inspection logs and machine utilization reports
• Adhere strictly tohealth safety and environmental (HSE)standards and procedures
• Collaborate withengineers quality teams and production plannersto meet delivery targets
• Mentor and supportjunior CNC operatorsas needed

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

• High School Diploma or GED(required)
• Technical/Vocational Certificate or Associates Degree inMachining Technology Mechanical Engineering or related field(preferred)

Experience

• Minimum5 yearsof hands-on CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience withlarge-format or gantry-style CNC milling machines
• Strong knowledge ofCNC control systems

Technical Skills

• Expert-level understanding ofGD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Proficiency withprecision measurement toolsand inspection equipment
• Ability to machine a variety of materials includingacrylic.
• Strong understanding offeeds speeds and cutting parameters
• Familiarity with 5-axis machining operations

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct hands-on experience withF. Zimmermann milling machines(e.g. FZ Series)
• Experience inaerospace manufacturing sectors
• Knowledge oflean manufacturingprinciples and continuous improvement (Kaizen 5S)
