Job Summary

CNC Machine Operator

Responsibilities:

  1. Operate/monitor CNC machines during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops
  2. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  3. Support the assembly floor and machine shop as needed.
  4. Produce machined parts to close tolerance dimensions.
  5. Program and troubleshoot machine controls using Mazatrol Fanuc Okuma G-code or DynaPath software.
  6. Work efficiently to maintain production levels by operating multiple machines within a work cell.
  7. Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of high-quality levels products with minimal wasted time and materials.
  8. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed
  9. Perform but not limited to the following tasks: milling turning drilling taping de-burring and inspect.
  10. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance regarding machine set-up.
  11. Must be willing and able to work in a multi-tasked environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be able to read understand and apply information obtained from blueprints and job specifications.
  2. Must possess strong mathematical abilities and the ability to remember words numbers and other information.
  3. Must possess the ability to exercise good judgment when carrying out duties and to maintain good working relationships with customers and fellow employees.
  4. Okuma Lathe and Mazak Lathe experience is a plus.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 2-4 years of experience operating a CNC machine
  • Knowledge of materials methods and the tools involved in machining and manufacturing. Knowledge of quality measurement tools.
  • Must be able to work safety in a machine shop.
  • Diploma or GED
  • Engineering Drawing Reading - understanding dimensions reading drawings notes bill of materials and tolerance.
  • Equipment Knowledge - Demonstrate the ability to program and operator Okuma lathes Mazak and Haas CNC milling machines.
  • Math Skills - Display the ability of basic math (addition subtraction multiplication and division)

Day Shift 6/7 AM until finish Monday -Friday must be open to weekends overtime and holidays as needed.
