CNC Machinist

Job Summary
- Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines according to work instructions blueprints and manufacturing plans.
- Perform machine startups tooling setups offsets and program adjustments as needed.
- Inspect in-process and finished parts using precision measuring equipment including calipers micrometers indicators and CMMs.
- Monitor product quality replace worn tooling and troubleshoot machining issues.
- Complete production documentation and inspection records accurately.
- Perform basic preventative maintenance and report equipment repair needs.
- Follow all quality safety and production procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and support special projects.
- Mentor less experienced machinists as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of experience operating and setting up 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machines.
- Experience with CNC machine controls and precision measuring tools.
- Strong shop math skills including geometry and fractions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Technical or trade school certification.
- Knowledge of GD&T G-Code/M-Code and tool geometry.
- Ability to stand walk bend reach and lift throughout the workday.
- Regularly lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 55 pounds.
- Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment in a production environment.
