Responsibilities: SetupandoperateCNCand/ormanualmachiningequipmenttomanufactureprecision components Readandinterpretengineeringdrawings blueprintsspecifications tolerances and work instructions Performmachinesetupsincludingselection and installation of appropriate tooling fixtures and workholding Verifyprogramstooling offsets and setup requirements prior tomachining Performin-processinspectionsto ensurepartsmeetdrawingand customer requirements Useprecisionmeasuringequipmentsuchasmicrometerscalipers indicators height gauges and other inspection tools Maintainclosetolerancesand consistently produce partsthat meetquality requirements Identifymachiningorqualityissues and communicateconcernstosupervision and Quality Assurance Completerequiredjobtravelers inspection documentation and other production records accurately Maintainequipmentandworkareasinacleansafeand organized condition Followcompanyqualityproceduressafety requirements and applicablecustomer requirements Assistandprovideguidancetoless-experienced machinistswhen needed Qualifications: PreviousexperienceasaClassASeniororhighly experienced Machinist in aprecision manufacturing environment StrongCNCmachiningandsetupexperience Abilitytoindependentlysetupand operatemachiningequipment Strongunderstandingofmachiningprocesses cuttingtools speeds feeds andtooling selection Abilitytoreadandunderstand complexengineeringdrawingsand specifications WorkingknowledgeofGD&Tanddimensionaltolerances Proficient with precision measuring and inspection equipment Abilitytotroubleshoot machining tooling and setup issues Strongattentiontodetail and commitmenttoquality Abilitytoworkindependently aswell aspart ofateam Dependableattendanceandstrongworkethic Preferred Experience: Experience with CNClathesand mills multi-axis machining CNC programming CAD/CAM software and precision machining of complexcomponentsispreferred. Experience working within a controlled Quality Management Systemormanufacturingpartsto stringent customer nuclear government or other highly regulated requirements is also beneficial.
