Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Machinist in Carlsbad CA.

As a CNC Machinist you will:

• Independently complete machine setups with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret blueprints drawings specifications and work instructions.
• Set up and operate Haas 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
• Select proper tooling fixtures machine speeds and feed rates.
• Utilize probing systems and tool setters to establish offsets and change tools.
• Perform first article inspections and maintain in-process quality checks.
• Accurately document inspection results and production data.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Maintain equipment through routine preventative maintenance activities.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in training programs as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2-3 years of CNC machining experience
• Experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines
• Experience with Haas CNC equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of:
  • Fixture offsets
  • Tool offsets
  • Machine clearances
  • Precision measurement techniques
• Ability to perform first article and in-process inspections
• Experience using indicators gauges and inspection tools
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with high noise levels
• Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
• Drug Screen Required
• Background Check Required
• U.S. Person Status Required due to Export Control Regulations

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (hours may vary based on department needs)
  Overtime: Overtime and occasional weekends may be required

• Experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machining
• Minimum 1 year of Mastercam experience
• CNC programming knowledge
• Experience in aerospace or precision machining environments
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat

Pay Rate: $25.00-$30.00per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties certifications etc.
