CNC Machine Operator

Skillforce is hiring experienced CNC Machine Operators in Powhatan VA with a strong mechanical background to join our team. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery to cut shape and fabricate wood and metal components according to specifications.

Pay and Schedule

• $20-$26/hr. W-2
• 4 days Mon-Thu 6 AM to 4:30 PM
• 3-day weekend every week

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines safely and efficiently
• Cut shape and fabricate wood and metal materials
• Read and interpret blueprints drawings and work orders
• Load materials and select the appropriate machine settings and tooling

Qualifications

• Previous CNC machine operating experience required
• Strong mechanical background and troubleshooting ability
• Experience working with wood and/or metal materials
• Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements
• Comfortable using hand tools power tools and measuring instruments
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
• Dependable safety-conscious and detail-oriented
• Pass background check and drug screen
• Valid US drivers license reliable transport
