We are seeking an experienced CNC Machine Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot maintain and repair a variety of CNC electro-mechanical control systems and precision machining equipment.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills CNC machine experience and a hands-on approach to preventive and corrective maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and repair a diverse range of machining equipment including 5-axis milling machines mill-turns EDMs Laser-Swiss CNC lathes motion control systems mist collectors ovens and stamping machines.
Troubleshoot mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic and control systems down to the component level.
Identify improvements to preventive maintenance instructions asset BOMs and machine designs.
Detect machine abnormalities using real-time data such as servo load temperature vibration and acoustics.
Support predictive maintenance zero-breakdown and zero-product-defect initiatives.
Perform basic maintenance activities including inspections leak detection filter changes PMs and tank cleanout.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
35 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems on CNC machine shop equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret schematics drawings performance specifications and operating requirements.
Knowledge of electrical mechanical pneumatic hydraulic and ladder logic systems.
Ability to program and operate CNC equipment to verify maintenance and repairs.
Ability to use power tools and hand tools and operate a forklift.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Experience with Fanuc Mitsubishi Heidenhain and Mazatrol CNC controllers.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing PLC and servo drive hardware/software.
Experience maintaining and repairing CNC equipment from manufacturers such as:
Mazak
KERN
Tsugami
Eurotech
Rofin
Fanuc EDM
Maier
Citizen
2 years of Ballbar testing and analysis preferred.
Experience working in an FDA-regulated environment is preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment.
Welding experience is a plus.
