CNC Haas Lathe Machinist

Job title: CNC Haas Lathes Setup Machinist
Location: Avon OH

As the CNC Setup Machinist you would be responsible for the setup of CNC machining centers efficiently and effectively for multiple machines(Mills and/or Lathes).

Duties/Responsibilities

• Efficient and timely setup of all CNC Mills and/or Lathes in the facility.
• Ensures proper tooling is loaded into tool holders.
• Load programs make adjustments as needed to produce quality part (i.e. speeds feeds depth of cut chamfers etc.).
• Set fixtures tooling and vises required to produce parts.
• Review work orders and prints.
• Ensure raw materials are available and correct for the part to be produced.
• Run first production piece prior to handing off to an operator.
• Ensure all setup parameters are documented and repeatable prior to hand off to operator
• Develops common tooling for all CNC milling equipment.

• 3 years experience setting up CNC machines on both Mills and Lathes
• Understands basic shop math able to read prints and edit programs using G&M codes.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Will be subject to a pre-employment screening.
