CNC Boring Mill Machinist Programmer
Position Overview
We have an opening for a CNC Machinist with programming expertise to machine custom position is ideal for professionals with expertise in CNC Horizontal or Vertical Boring Mills who thrive on machining complex one-off parts rather than repetitive production work. The successful candidate will have strong setup and machining experience with CNC mills and boring operations combined with programming proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC Horizontal or Vertical Boring Mills to precision specifications.
- Use precision machinery to perform milling and boring operations on large custom components with high accuracy and repeatability.
- Read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Determine tooling workholding and machine setups for large custom components.
- Create modify and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam CAD/CAM software for boring and multi-axis milling operations.
- Make program edits and machine adjustments to improve efficiency accuracy and part quality.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and engineering specifications.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain productivity.
- Follow all safety and quality standards while meeting production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC Horizontal or Vertical Boring Mills.
- Capabilities: Ability to perform boring and multi-axis milling operations on custom fabricated and heavy components.
- Strong setup experience machining large custom or low-volume components.
- Required: Experience with G-code and/or M-code programming and interpretation for CNC machine control.
- Required: Strong proficiency with Mastercam CAD/CAM software including creating editing and optimizing CNC programs for boring and milling operations.
- Experience with CNC program troubleshooting toolpath optimization and setup verification.
- Strong attention to detail mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Schedule
- MondayFriday: 6:00 AM 4:00 PM OR 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Optional Saturday hours: 7:00 AM12:00 PM
- Overtime paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate

- Pay: $30$40 per hour based on experience
