CNA Trainee
Rate: $17/hour
Shift: Full-Time Part-Time
Schedule: Must be available for training
Brookhaven Health Care Facility is looking to add a CNA Trainee to its team. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while participating in a Certified Nursing Assistant training program. Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff and instructors youll learn the skills needed to provide compassionate care and support to residents in a skilled nursing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the facilitys Certified Nursing Assistant training program
- Observe and learn resident care techniques safety procedures and infection control practices
- Assist with resident care activities as permitted under training program guidelines and supervision
- Practice CNA skills through demonstrations return demonstrations and supervised clinical experiences
- Communicate resident observations and concerns to nursing staff and instructors
- Maintain resident dignity privacy confidentiality and rights at all times
- Follow facility policies safety procedures and infection prevention protocols
- Attend all required classes clinical training sessions and educational activities
- Complete training assignments skills evaluations and competency requirements
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the training program
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma GED or currently enrolled in a high school equivalency program preferred
- Interest in pursuing a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
- Compassionate dependable and eager to learn
- Ability to follow directions and maintain professional conduct
- Must successfully meet all program and facility requirements for participation in CNA training
