As a Certified Nursing Assistant with BrightStar Care you will provide client care as directed by the Director of Nursing or Registered Nurse Supervisor. Responsibilities may include:

• Assist clients with bathing grooming oral care dressing and toileting
• Assist with feeding and meal preparation as needed
• Take and record vital signs including temperature pulse respirations and blood pressure
• Measure and record height weight intake and output when required
• Assist with walking transfers positioning and active or passive range-of-motion exercises according to the clients plan of care
• Support proper skin care and help prevent skin breakdown
• Observe clients physical mental and emotional condition and promptly report changes to the nursing supervisor
• Accurately document care provided and observed changes in condition
• Provide medication reminders and assist with self-administration of medication as permitted
• Perform light housekeeping linen changes meal preparation and other tasks necessary to maintain a safe and orderly client environment
• Provide transportation to appointments activities or shopping as assigned
• Follow infection-control procedures and Universal Precautions
• Protect client privacy dignity confidentiality and right to accept or refuse care
• Respond appropriately in emergency situations
• Follow the clients individualized plan of care and BrightStar Care policies and procedures

• High school diploma
• Successful completion of an approved nursing assistant program
• Current CNA certification
• Minimum one (1) year of documented experience preferred
• CPR certification
• TB/PPD screening
• Valid drivers license
• Reliable insured transportation
• Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision
• Compassion and empathy for clients and their families
• Ability to read write speak and understand English and communicate effectively
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality and protect medical information
• Ability to use a smartphone for scheduling timekeeping and care documentation

This position requires the ability to stand walk squat bend kneel reach twist push and pull. Assistance requirements will vary depending on the mobility and needs of each client.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
