Job Summary

CMM Operator

Denison Industries is located in Denison TX North of . Denison is a premium aluminum casting and machining facility with a very diverse customer base serving a wide variety of industries including aviation defense automotive commercial and industrial markets.

Summary Description:
Ensure CMM is properly operated so that the product does not fall short of the quality standards required by the customer.

Essential Functions:

Insure the part-inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision level
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and know the definitions of critical major minor characterists
Must be able to run CMM programs interpret data and make machining directional changes.
Working knowledge and experience using CMM height gauge surface plates calipers micrometers dial indicators gauge blocks computerized gauges etc.
Knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances is a plus
Must have basic computer knowledge (Excel Word E-mail)
Must have good problem solving skills communication skills and organization skills
Must be able to work autonomously with little direction and exercise rational decision making when evaluating issues with either the parts or the CMM itself.
Must be able to determine whether a part is acceptable or not.
Responsible for ensuring that AS9100and ISO 9001 are implemented and adhered to in your area
Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned

Skills or Experience Required:
Must have High School diploma or GED. One (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Experience in quality inspection is preferred. Must have strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work with others towards the resolution of problems. Basic math skills required.
