Job Description: As a Senior Cloud Migration Architect you will lead the design configuration and delivery of AWS-based solutions for a large-scale enterprise cloud migration program. You will work hands-on with development and infrastructure teams to build scalable production-ready environments implement CI/CD pipelines and drive cloud-native adoption using modern DevOps and GitOps practices across multiple applications and migration patterns.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and manage AWS services across environments including Elastic Beanstalk EKS EC2 and RDS.
Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools for reproducibility.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps with integration to GitOps tools.
Implement GitOps practices using ArgoCD or Flux for automated deployments and environment promotion.
Define deployment strategies including blue/green rolling and canary releases.
Configure networking security IAM policies and secrets management following best practices.
Develop monitoring and observability solutions using logging metrics and alerting tools.
Collaborate with development infrastructure and database teams to ensure smooth migration execution.
Produce technical documentation including runbooks architecture designs and operational procedures.
Required Skills Experiences Education and Competencies:
5 6 years of hands-on AWS experience supporting production workloads.
Strong experience with Kubernetes particularly Amazon EKS environments.
Proven experience implementing GitOps solutions using ArgoCD or Flux.
Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.
Strong experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Working knowledge of databases including RDS for SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills.
Experience working with Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.
Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
AWS or Kubernetes certifications.
Experience migrating applications from on premises environments to AWS.
Familiarity with cloud observability tools beyond native AWS services.
Experience with service mesh API gateways or advanced deployment strategies.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $85.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills experience location and industry.
