Job Summary
Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with an innovative precision diagnostics company at the forefront of advancing cancer diagnostics through proprietary cerebrospinal fluid (CSF)-based testing technologies. Their platform integrates advanced molecular diagnostics and cellular analysis to provide physicians with critical insights into central nervous system malignancies and support more informed treatment decisions.
As the laboratory continues to expand they are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join their high-complexity clinical laboratory team. This individual will perform a variety of molecular and cellular diagnostic procedures support assay operations and contribute to the delivery of accurate and timely patient results within a CLIA-certified laboratory environment.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented thrives in a fast-paced setting and has experience working in a regulated clinical laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Laboratory Testing
Perform high-complexity laboratory testing according to established SOPs and quality standards.
Process and analyze patient specimens utilizing molecular cellular and microscopy-based methodologies.
Conduct specimen accessioning preparation testing and result documentation while maintaining specimen integrity.
Review test results for accuracy and ensure timely reporting.
Molecular Diagnostics
Perform molecular laboratory techniques including DNA/RNA extraction nucleic acid quantification PCR qPCR and related workflows.
Prepare reagents controls and laboratory materials necessary for testing operations.
Assist with validation and implementation of new assays and technologies as needed.
Instrumentation & Laboratory Operations
Operate maintain calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
Monitor instrument performance and participate in preventative maintenance activities.
Maintain laboratory inventory supplies and reagent management.
Quality & Compliance
Adhere to all CLIA CAP HIPAA and internal quality system requirements.
Perform routine quality control procedures and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
Participate in proficiency testing competency assessments and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Escalate unusual findings deviations or quality concerns to laboratory leadership.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work closely with laboratory scientists supervisors and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient workflow and optimal turnaround times.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives designed to enhance laboratory quality efficiency and scalability.
Support laboratory growth initiatives and implementation of new technologies.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science Biology Molecular Biology Biotechnology Biochemistry Cell Biology or another related life sciences discipline.
2 years of experience working in a clinical molecular biotechnology pathology or diagnostic laboratory environment.
Experience performing high-complexity testing in a regulated laboratory setting.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately follow SOPs and maintain detailed documentation.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
Preferred
ASCP certification (MLS MT MB or related certification) preferred.
Experience with molecular diagnostic techniques including PCR qPCR nucleic acid extraction and assay troubleshooting.
Experience working in CLIA and/or CAP accredited laboratories.
Familiarity with fluorescence microscopy cell imaging flow cytometry digital pathology or oncology diagnostics is a plus.
Prior experience in precision medicine oncology diagnostics or rare disease testing strongly preferred.

Salary: $80000 $100000
