The California Department of Health is seeking experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS) to support clinical and public health laboratory operations in Sacramento California.

Pay Rate: $60/hour

Qualifications

• A current State of California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) license.
• At leastthree (3) years of professional experiencein one or more of the following areas:
  • Field consultation in clinical and/or public health laboratories.

  • Supervision of professional laboratory staff or experience serving as a laboratory director.

  • Work as a staff specialist in technical areas of clinical and/or public health laboratory sciences.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical consultation and expertise to clinical and public health laboratories.
• Supervising and providing guidance to professional laboratory personnel.
• Applying specialized knowledge in technical areas of clinical and public health laboratory sciences.
• Supporting laboratory management and operational activities.
