Clinical Coordinator, RN WC ECC

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director/Manager of the unit the Clinical CoordinatorRN provides oversight during the assigned shift for the clinical and non-clinical staff in theadministering of excellent patient care and customer service. This position assumes clinicalresponsibility for the specialty by providing orientation teaching clinical supervision and evaluationof personnel assigned to the area. The Clinical Coordinator RN supports the medical care ofpatients under the direction of the Medical Staff in pursuant to the objectives of the hospital. Mayalso act as Nursing/House Supervisor while on duty at Wharton campus.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. BSN preferred.

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:

One year clinical experience in specialty required. One yearexperience as a Clinical Coordinator / Charge Nurse preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. American HeartAssociation BLS required. Advance Cardiac Life Support PALS orENPC within 6 months of employment. TNCC within 18 months ofhire and remain current in these certifications.

REQUIRED SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated leadership ability and critical thinking skills communication skills. Computer skills.
