The Opportunity:

The Safety & Security Clerk will report directly to the Director of Safety & Security

and will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Usage of Safety & Security computer programs: Genetec S2 NetBox Aspen andBadge
  • Perform CRLS campus check-ins by screening confirming appointmentsensuring identity and issuing visitor tags to all visitors
  • Efficiently courteously and professionally assist any persons needingassistance or district information
  • Answer phones and forward calls and messages to appropriate parties asnecessary
  • Dispatch all calls for service to the Safety Specialists via two-way radios.
  • Consistently monitor two-way radio activity
  • Monitor retrieve and respond to all Safety & Security emails.
  • Type reports as needed
  • Process and scan incident suspension and investigative reports
  • When needed ascertain incident/accident information and dispatch SafetySpecialists for support
  • Process requisitions
  • Enter and retrieve student data into student information systems.
  • Record and maintain confidential information
  • Provide IDs and access for district staff and students
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree preferred or a high school diploma
  • Two years of job related experience
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with Aspen database system and Genetec is desirable
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with school-wide personnel
  • Must have multi-tasking and prioritization abilities
  • Secondary school experience is preferred
  • Must be reliable dependable and be able to work in a team environment
  • Maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Accurately obtain vital information
