Job Summary

Thank you for your interest in the Weld RE-4 School District! Classified Substitutes (non-licensed) are hired throughout the year.
All Classified Substitutesare required to be fingerprinted before working with children.

Classified substitute positions include the following:

  • Instructional Aide - assisting the teacher with students in their daily work and activities
  • Special Education Instructional Aide - assisting students with special needs in their daily work and activities
  • Nutrition Services - assisting cooks and servers in the school kitchens
  • Receptionist - working at individual schools or Admin Building answering phones and doing light clerical work.
  • Bus Aide - this position has availability hours of 6:15am-8:15am and 2:30pm-4:15pm and entails assisting children on the school bus arrive safely to and from school.
  • Health Aide - this position works in the Health Office. CPR and Medication Administration certification is required but offered free of charge through the district.

Classified Substitute Rates

  • Bus Driver: $21/hour
  • Non-CDL Driver: $19.39/hour
  • Special Aide II Preschool: $17.01/hour
  • All Other Classified Jobs: $15.40/hour
  • Long Term Sub (20 days or more of a continual assignment): Paid at minimum of the job range.
  • Current paraprofessionals with a certified sub license who fill in for a teacher on an emergency basis: Paid their hourly rate and 50% of the current certified sub rate.
