The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong commitment to safety professionalism and on-time delivery operate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) exceeding 26000 pounds and may tow trailers exceeding 10000 pounds. This position requires compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety ResponsibilitiesDelivery OperationsSafely transport and deliver products materials and supplies to customer locations according to scheduled and/or assist with loading products and secure cargo to ensure safe vehicles for loading and unloading activities and verify proper placement of customers with unloading materials while protecting products and customer property from order accuracy by comparing delivered items against invoices and shipping delivery documentation including mileage delivery locations quantities and ServiceServe as the primary point of contact between the company and customers during a professional demeanor and deliver outstanding customer to customer inquiries and help resolve delivery-related concerns in a timely & SafetyConduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete all required Hours of Service (HOS) records and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) in accordance with DOT handheld technology to complete required reporting and compliance activities when the vehicle is not in all company DOT local state and federal safety safety meetings and training sessions as & Facility OperationsMaintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of assigned forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load unload and move materials as product returns credit pickups and related other duties as QualificationsHigh School Diploma GED or be at least 21 years of drivers Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL).Minimum of 1 year of delivery driving to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card within five (5) days of Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).Fewer than five (5) moving violations within the past five (5) math and measurement to read write and communicate effectively in QualificationsTwo (2) or more years of Class A CDL driving delivering building materials or operating in a distribution operation experience and Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is performed in warehouse yard and outdoor environments subject to varying weather conditions temperature fluctuations dust noise moving equipment and other industrial lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 lift or move materials weighing up to 200 pounds with physical activities including climbing bending kneeling pushing pulling reaching and enter and exit commercial vehicle cabs multiple times throughout the the physical ability to operate commercial vehicles including twisting turning and maintaining full visibility while driving and maneuvering equipment.
