Job Summary
- Perform structural design and analysis for bridges culverts retaining walls and related infrastructure
- Lead or assist with preparation of construction plans specifications and design calculations
- Review shop drawings and construction submittals for compliance with design intent
- Evaluate existing structures including precast and segmental systems
- Support roadway design and traffic control plan preparation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients/agencies
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 4 years of relevant experience in structural/bridge design
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain)
- Strong working knowledge of CADD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD)
- Experience with structural analysis tools (e.g. or similar)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and design standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PennDOT Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission or similar transportation agencies
- Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
- Experience in bridge rehabilitation and inspection support
