Location: Sacramento CA. This is an in-person role for the first 90 days after which attorneys may work remotely while remaining local to the Sacramento area for occasional in-person meetings.

Note: Candidates must be located in the Sacramento area and have at least 2 years of directly relevant civil litigation experience to be considered.

Job Description

• Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategies and provide practical legal guidance to clients.
• Draft pleadings motions briefs discovery correspondence and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions hearings and other litigation proceedings.
• Handle discovery including written discovery document review and discovery disputes.
• Prepare cases for mediation settlement arbitration and trial.
• Conduct legal research and apply California civil procedure and substantive law to active matters.
• Communicate directly with clients opposing counsel courts and other legal professionals.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move matters forward efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar license in good standing.
• 2 years of directly relevant civil litigation experience.
• Strong experience with discovery motion practice and litigation strategy.
• Excellent legal research writing analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while meeting deadlines.
• Strong client-service mindset and sound professional judgment.
• Must be located in the Sacramento area.
