Location:

This is a full-time on-site opportunity in Newark New Jersey offering the benefits of working closely with attorneys and colleagues in a collaborative office environment.

Note:

Active admission to the New Jersey Bar is required. Civil litigation experience is preferred particularly 3 years but we are open to both newer attorneys and experienced litigators who are a strong fit.

Job Description

• Handle civil litigation matters through various stages of the litigation process.
• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings motions briefs correspondence and other legal documents.
• Participate in discovery case strategy negotiations hearings and court appearances as appropriate to experience.
• Communicate effectively with clients opposing counsel courts and other parties.
• Analyze legal and factual issues and develop practical strategies for resolving disputes.
• Manage deadlines case files and assigned matters with strong attention to detail.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal professionals across the firm.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Bar admission required.
• Civil litigation experience preferred with 3 years especially desirable.
• Newer and more senior attorneys are encouraged to apply.
• Strong legal research writing analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and deadlines effectively.
• Comfortable working full-time on-site in Newark.

Requirements: Must-have: NJ bar license. Preferred: 3 yrs of civil litigation exp.

• Required Years as Associate: 0; no hard minimum. 3 years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• Salary Bands (Only if attorney role): 0 to 2 years: $80000 to $110000;
• 3 to 5 years: $110000 to $160000;
• 6 to 9 years: $160000 to $220000;
• 10 years: $220000 to $300000.
