Civil Litigation Associate Attorney

Pay: $110000.00 - $175000.00 per year

Note:

Candidates must be admitted to practice in both New York and New Jersey and have 1 year of civil litigation experience. Professional liability and/or securities litigation experience is preferred but not required.

Job Description

• Manage an active caseload and help drive matters from initial assignment through resolution.
• Draft motions pleadings discovery requests responses and other litigation documents.
• Participate in depositions hearings mediations court appearances and case conferences.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide clear updates recommendations and strategic guidance.
• Conduct legal research and analyze complex factual and legal issues.
• Develop litigation strategy alongside experienced attorneys.
• Manage deadlines discovery obligations and competing case priorities.
• Contribute to matters involving professional liability securities employment insurance-related claims and other civil litigation.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active New York and New Jersey bar admission required.
• 1 year of civil litigation experience required.
• Strong legal research writing analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters deadlines and priorities.
• Experience with professional liability and/or securities litigation preferred.
• Deposition motion practice discovery or direct client experience is a plus.
