Civil Engineering I

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer I to be based in Ridgeland Mississippi. This candidate will be responsible for conducting engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Creates designs calculations sketches diagrams schematic drawings and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
• Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
• Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
• Participates in site visits and field observations to gather project information and verify design assumptions.
• Prepares technical documentation reports and design memoranda under the guidance of senior staff.
• Collaborates with project teams and stakeholders to ensure design objectives are met and communicated effectively.
• Assists in quality assurance and compliance verification to ensure adherence to applicable codes standards and regulations.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS none or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous exposure or strong interest in transportation infrastructure construction.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate.
• Proficient with Open Roads AutoCAD Civil 3D Design or similar applications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint.
