• Admission to practice in Michigan is required
• 3 to 5 years of commercial litigation and/or labor & employment litigation experience
• Strong writing research analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment
• Strong organizational case management and interpersonal skills

The ideal candidate will have between 3 to 5 years of civil defense litigation experience. This position provides the opportunity to work on a broad range of matters.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of commercial litigation and labor & employment litigation cases from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings motions briefs legal memoranda breach of contracts and other litigation-related documents
• Conduct legal research assist with litigation strategy and case analysis
• Manage discovery prepare for and attend depositions mediations hearings and trial preparation
• Communicate directly with clients insurers opposing counsel and witnesses while providing regular case updates and strategic guidance
• Collaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex litigation matters
• Provide proactive case management and client reporting

Qualifications

• Admission to practice in Michigan is required
• 3 to 5 years of commercial litigation and/or labor & employment litigation experience
• Strong writing research analytical and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Insurance defense litigation
