Job Summary
Hansen Talent Group is seeking a strong CICS System Programmer with team leadership experience to support a large data center environment. This is a remote position requiring candidates to undergo a public trust clearance as well as background check and drug test.
The CICS Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the work assignments across the middleware team supporting the CICS subsystem within a large z/OS mainframe environment as well as providing hands-on CICS support.

The CICS Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing the work assignments across the middleware team supporting the CICS subsystem within a large z/OS mainframe environment as well as providing hands-on CICS support.
Duties:
- Participate in discovery and planning activities to determine resources needed and technical direction required to meet client requirements and corporate strategy.
- Direct CICS technical teams assigning work tasks and tracking progress on all projects as well as reviewing daily operational support efforts.
- Assist in CICS installations configurations and upgrades within the system. Ensuring the subsystem meets all business and production requirements as well as compliant with federal state and industry regulations.
- Support CICS integrations with MQ and RACF. Develop REXX scripts to support middleware automation and increase system efficiency.
- Utilizing IBM and BMC tools to monitor and track system performance identifying bottlenecks and performance tuning as required.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and activities ensuring redundancies are in place and working with VSAM to support backup and recovery.
Qualifications:
- In-depth experience working in data center environments supporting CICS sub systems
- Hands-on work withSMP/E for installations
- Experience with VSAM storage solutionsto support back up/recovery efforts
