Job Summary
CI Manager Northeast
National Power is seeking an experienced CI Manager to lead our Critical Infrastructure team in the Northeast region and drive profitable growth.
Position Summary
The CI Manager Northeast is responsible for leading and building a team developing and expanding customer relationships and ensuring project managers and field teams execute work safely to customer specifications and profitably. The role has full P&L responsibility with ownership of regional pipeline development estimating and quoting strategic account coverage and leading field execution teams (PMs and DC Installers) to deliver a strong customer experience and profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Growth and Business Development
- Meet or exceed annual sales revenue and operating profit goals for the Northeast region as established by the Company.
- Act as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned Northeast accounts
- Develop and execute a regional sales plan that expands National Powers presence with existing customers and targeted new accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers consultants engineers owners and other decision-makers in critical infrastructure markets.
- Actively pursue new opportunities through direct prospecting relationship development and coordination with internal business development resources.
- Maintain full geographic coverage across the assigned territory with regular customer visits site visits and market-facing activity.
- Support specification development efforts with customers and engineers so National Power is positioned early and favorably in project opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver professional customer presentations capability discussions and solution-oriented sales messaging.
- Review bid documents engineered specifications drawings and customer requirements to develop accurate scopes estimates quotations and proposals.
- Consult with engineers vendors and internal subject matter experts to clarify scope technical requirements and equipment selections before submission.
- Develop budgets forecasts and other commercial inputs needed for pipeline planning and opportunity review.
- Coordinate proposal turnaround to meet customer deadlines while protecting scope clarity margin and execution feasibility.
- Maintain accurate pipeline quote-log forecast and account activity data in the Companys business tracking tools.
- Collaborate with finance and legal on contracts payment terms commercial risk items and other deal-structuring requirements.
- Assemble complete handoff packages for awarded work including scope documents contracts estimates schedule of values drawings quotes and key customer contacts.
- Partner with CI Project Manager(s) and operations leaders to ensure a smooth transition from awarded work to execution.
- Lead and develop a team of project managers and DC installers that are capable of executing projects on time and on budget and delivering a great customer experience.
- Ensure seamless and complete job handoff to field execution teams to enable high quality and profitable execution.
- Drive continuous process improvement to increase productivity reduce lead times and deliver higher quality projects
- Conduct weekly operations meetings with project managers to review and drive accountability for KPIs job performance job timelines and resource scheduling/utilization
- Drive safety culture and ensure the team adopts and complies with National Power safety policies.
- Coordinate with finance to ensure jobs are costed accurately billed timely and to update forecasted cost at completion.
- Remain engaged after award as needed to support customer alignment scope clarification issue resolution and strategic account continuity.
- Assist with customer issue resolution and help de-escalate disputes in a manner that protects the relationship and the Companys interests.
- Support disciplined review of scope changes and commercial adjustments with recognition that approvals for larger change orders in the new framework may sit above or outside the CI Manager role.
- Present a professional image to customers suppliers and business partners and maintain the highest ethical standards of conduct.
- Work collaboratively across internal teams communicate clearly and help avoid unnecessary problems or disputes.
- Put internal and external customers first while maintaining accountability and sound commercial judgment.
- 5 years of experience in business development sales account management project management or a related commercial role in critical infrastructure electrical construction telecom broadband power systems or a similar industry.
- Demonstrated success leading project execution teams and delivering projects profitably to specification and on-time.
- Demonstrated success developing customer relationships and converting opportunities into profitable bookings.
- Experience preparing estimates reviewing specifications and developing proposals for technically complex projects.
- Working knowledge of AC/DC power systems power infrastructure generator systems battery systems rectifiers inverters or closely related equipment is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings specifications and project documents.
- Strong communication presentation negotiation and relationship-management skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint; CRM and pipeline-management discipline required.
- Bachelors degree in business engineering construction management or a related field is preferred.
- Experience selling into telecom/broadband headends data centers utility or other mission-critical environments.
- Experience coordinating closely with project managers field operations and subcontractors in short-duration or technically complex retrofit environments.
- Familiarity with contract review schedules of values change management and commercial risk considerations.
- Salary Range: $130000 - $150000 Commissions
- Three weeks of paid vacation after 90 days (first year is pro-rated based on start date)

Additional Information
- This is a remote position requiring regular regional travel.
- Criminal background check pre-employment drug screen and MVR review required.
