Job Summary

Assists teachers at pre-schools and Childrens Centers in a variety of programs instructional and non-instructional activities; performs work of a routine clerical nature as required. This is an hourly substitute posting is to fill multiple vacancies. Those assigned to the Early Childhood Program will work 4 hours/day. Those assigned to the Children Center will work up to 5.5 hours /day. Salary is based on actual hours worked. Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION: Must possess a secondary (i.e. high school) school diploma or its equivalent (GED) and must have college units in child development or related field from a regionally accredited post secondary institution of higher education (preferred). EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years experience as a District Childrens Services Assistant or the equivalent or other experience working with preschool or school aged children is required. SPECIAL LICENSE CERTIFICATION OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Immunization records of immunization against influenza pertussis and measlesThe ability to read write and speak another language in addition to English such as Armenian or Spanish is highly PROCEDURES: All applicants including applicants presently employed by the Pasadena Unified School District must complete an application online.
