As a Child Care Specialistyoull have the remarkable chance to contribute directly to the growth of young childrendiagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role works in collaboration with a team of experts including Board-Certified Behavior Analysts Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists. It is anentry-level roleanddoes not require prior certification;we provide complete training for this position.

Responsibilities

• Offerone-on-one supportto children aged 2-6 in a clinic environment guided by science-backed naturalistic therapeutic methods

• Implement intervention planscrafted by expert clinicians in behavior analysis speech and occupational therapy

• Team up with the childs healthcare professionals to provide consistent high-quality care

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required (as verified by resume application or BACB attestation for RBT certification)

• Previous experience with children aged 2-6 ideally in a professional capacity

• Ability to achieve and maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within first 6 weeks of employment (Soar will provide paid training)

  • Note: RBT certification required for CO Springs location

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Computer and tablet literacy

• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential

• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently shift positions quickly lift up to 50 lbs. sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time sit in a chair stand walk and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client

• Preference for college graduates or people pursuing a college degree

• $21.50 - $28.50/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 - $22.75. All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion
