The Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide clinical leadership and oversight across the organization. This physician will work closely with executive leadership while remaining connected to patient care and the day-to-day clinical operations of the organization.

Requirements

  • MD or DO From an Accredited Medical School
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Another Applicable Primary Care Specialty
  • Active Florida Medical License or Ability to Obtain
  • Previous Medical Leadership Experience Required
  • Experience in an FQHC Community Health Center Public Health or Similar Setting Strongly Preferred
  • Strong Understanding of Clinical Quality Compliance Peer Review and Provider Performance
  • Additional Credentials or Experience in Public Health or Infectious Disease Are a Plus
  • Bilingual Preferred But Not Required

Responsibilities

  • Provide Overall Clinical Leadership and Direction for the Organization
  • Oversee Clinical Operations Quality of Care and Patient Safety
  • Provide Oversight of Physicians Advanced Practice Providers and Other Clinical Staff
  • Lead Physician Peer Review and Clinical Performance Initiatives
  • Establish and Maintain Clinical Policies Procedures and Standards of Care
  • Collaborate With the CEO and Executive Leadership Team on Organizational Strategy
  • Participate in Provider Recruitment Retention Credentialing and Development
  • Support Quality Improvement Compliance and Population Health Initiatives
  • Ensure Clinical Operations Meet Federal State and Organizational Requirements
  • Maintain a Limited Clinical Practice to Remain Connected With Patients and Providers
  • Help Develop and Implement New Clinical Programs and Services
  • Serve as a Physician Leader and Resource Across the Organization

Schedule

  • Monday Through Friday
  • Approximately 40 Hours Per Week
  • Combination of Administrative Leadership and Clinical Responsibilities
  • Outpatient Environment
  • No Hospital Rounding
  • No Admitting
