Chief Estimator

Location: Rockledge FL 32955

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Estimator to lead our estimating department in Rockledge FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the estimating process ensuring accurate and competitive bids and collaborating closely with project managers clients and subcontractors. This leadership role requires strong analytical skills excellent communication and a deep understanding of construction costs and industry standards.

• Lead and manage the estimating team to prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
• Review project plans specifications and other documentation to develop detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analyses.
• Collaborate with project managers architects engineers and subcontractors to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards client requirements and industry best practices.
• Analyze historical data and market trends to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare and present bid proposals to senior management and clients.
• Monitor project budgets and provide input during project execution to control costs.
• Train mentor and develop estimating staff to enhance team performance.
• Stay current with construction industry developments materials and technologies.

• Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of estimating experience in the construction industry with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods materials and cost estimating software.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints specifications and contracts.
• Excellent analytical organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Experience with industry-standard estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam ProEst Sage Estimating) is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of local market conditions and subcontractor networks in the Rockledge FL area is a plus.
