Role Overview
A construction company is seeking a Chief Estimator to lead and strengthen its estimating operations across civil and site construction projects. This leadership role is responsible for driving pricing strategy overseeing complex estimates mentoring estimating teams and supporting the companys ability to secure profitable work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mentor and develop the estimating team
- Standardize estimating processes and implement best practices
- Review and approve complex and high-value project estimates
- Support bid/no-bid decisions and pricing strategy development
- Build relationships with subcontractors suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Monitor market pricing trends and adjust estimating assumptions accordingly
- Ensure estimating accuracy profitability and deadline compliance
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams on project planning initiatives
Requirements
- 10 years of estimating experience within civil or site construction
- Proven leadership experience managing estimating teams
- Strong analytical communication and decision-making abilities
- Demonstrated track record of securing profitable work
- Experience reviewing complex estimates and managing pricing strategy
- Ability to work onsite within a construction-focused environment
