AMSOIL welcomes candidates across a range of experience levels up to Senior. This role is a lead technical contributor on the AMSOIL Chemistry Team reporting to the Chemical Laboratory Director. They are responsible for researching new ideas and putting in place projects to further explore and deploy formulation opportunities. Chemists in this role define and drive projects in lab focusing on exciting topics including new chemistries and new test methodologies to impart and understand meaningful performance differentiation in our formulations. This may be done through leveraging in house capabilities and external addition R&D Chemists have responsibilities towards overall formulation management including collaborations with sourcing and Responsibilities:Drive research efforts through investigations into new technologies and applications. Develop knowledge base and implement ideas into product development industry trends and company needs to enable new product development as well as application of new or emerging lab capabilities to support development and manage technical projects. Utilize project management skills to scope projects and drive to with Engineers Chemists and Product Managers to define and develop new products and formulations across our mechanical aptitude and knowledge of engine and industrial equipment applications to help guide formulation development testing and product performance continuous improvement capability development and safety in our mentorship and cross training to other members of the team. Share best practices and seek opportunities for continuous improvement and personal Requirements:Bachelors degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering or closely related scienceProgressive experience with chemistry formulation and/or product development; level will be based on qualifications and experience up to Senior levelAbility to work collaboratively across all functions internally or externallyExperience creating and managing technical projectsTechnically motivated and curious.
