Associates Degree Nursing Required
Bachelors Degree Nursing Preferred
1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting Required
2 Years Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting Preferred
RN - Registered Nurse License Required Upon Hire and
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days Required And
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Preferred
A high degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do
The Charge Nurse role will communicate and collaborate with all members of the health care team. Valuing diversity equity and inclusion is a key strategy of teamwork at Texas Health.

This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift by offering staff guidance and support maintaining a clean and safe work environment and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
Knowledge of quality management methods tools and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
