Characterization Scientist (Sample Prep)

For at least the first 6 months the role focuses largely on preparing handling and distributing samples for primary structure studies. As training evolves the role would increase in responsibility to the below:

• Perform routine and non-routine biochemical characterization analyses of monoclonal antibodies to support pharmaceutical development activities including peptide mapping oligosaccharide mapping and related routine methods
• Collect analyze interpret and report analytical data in alignment with departmental standards and project accurate complete and timely documentation of assay development qualification sample preparation and data analysis activities.
• Support reliable laboratory execution through organized recordkeeping adherence to applicable procedures and consistent communication of results and observations.

Qualifications :

• BS or MS in Biochemistry or a related field.
• Basic understanding of amino acid chemistry and protein structure.
• Knowledge of LC and LC/MS analytical methods.
• Ability to perform minimal instrument maintenance.
• Ability to maintain laboratory notebooks in a GXP-compliant manner and write technical memos.
• Authorization to work in the United States without restrictions
