$21.24 per hour Full-time

Use your expertise to oversee the religious programs of the facility in compliance with Management & Training Corporation (MTC) and customer directives.

What you will do

  • Create and manage all religious programs of the facility.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all outside religious activities people or groups requesting admittance to the facility.
  • Coordinate religious volunteers and provide volunteers with schedules.
  • Conduct religious services and religious education programs and schedule periodic special programs.
  • Provide regular chaplaincy visitation rounds to new and existing detainees and detainees who are critically ill.
  • Counsel detainees on religious problems personal issues crisis intervention grief and institutional adjustment.
  • Interact with detainees during their daily activities (e.g. dining recreation work and while in detention or disciplinary isolation) as often as possible to provide moral and religious instruction.
  • Required to make regular rounds of the facility which requires long periods of walking and standing.
  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance is required.
  • Required to respond to emergencies requiring the assistance of the chaplain.

What you will need

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Accreditation as a minister or religious leader
  • Two years of related experience
  • US citizenship or lawful US permanent resident
  • Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must successfully complete required preservice training post-hire
