CFO Advisor

Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a leading credit union service organization in the search for a CFO Advisor.

This is a highly visible advisory role responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and accounting expertise to credit union and banking clients. Working closely with executive teams this individual will serve as a trusted advisor on financial reporting budgeting forecasting cash management regulatory compliance and overall financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine accounting records financial statements and other financial reports for all assigned clients.
• Assist in developing evaluating and implementing policies and procedures for the accounting department.
• Ensure policies and procedures reflect current regulatory and GAAP requirements/standards.
• Responsible for financial reporting financial analyses cash management and forecast reports in alignment with client timing requirements for all assigned clients.
• General ledger reconciliations analysis of financial accounts and preparation of journal entries. Provide end-of-month close and produce monthly financial statements for all assigned clients on a timely basis.
• Preparation of budgets and periodic analysis of budget variances for all assigned clients.
• Conduct special accounting studies analyses and special projects as requested by management.
• Manage calendars appropriately for client satisfaction and maximum availability.
• Track hours for billing and product profitability modeling.

Qualifications:

• B.A. in Accounting Business Administration or equivalent and five years related accounting/ finance experience. CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required.
• 5 years experience working for financial institutions or equivalent experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficient with MS products. Expert-level Excel.
• Detail and deadline-oriented
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills are required.
• Thoroughness excellent attention to detail and good problem-solving skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and initiate several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
