Job Summary

The details:This is a large multidisciplinary team with approximately 40 clinicians. Fast paced hospital environment where clinicians treat a variety of diagnoses with a common mix of orthopedics neurological behavioral health and critical care caseloads. This candidate will focus on treatment including morning ADLs 1:1 treatment and facilitating group Occupational Therapy Assistants with at least one (1) year hospital acute experience are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate:Is someone who is excited to join a thriving and energetic teamIs someone who loves to continue their education and learn more to better serve their patientsIs someone who believes that patients deserve One on One care with a highly trained clinicianIs someone who values a lifelong relationship with patients and who can provide therapy services across the lifespanThe requirements:Degree from a ACOTE accredited schoolCurrent state licensure or eligibility in Occupational Therapy in MarylandHas one (1) year hospital acute care experience Experience running Occupational Therapy groups a plusStrong documentation in an EMR (preferrably hospital based system)Basic Life Support through the American Red Cross or American Heart AssociationWill display strong skills in flexibility time management and communicationFocuses on the patient and providing the utmost in customer service excellenceThe responsibilities:Deliver quality occupational therapy services according to treatment plans for patientsDocument with web-based software and documentation system (EMR)Meet all clinical departmental and regulatory expectations (Productivity standards 65% - 75% on a daily basis 21-24 billable units / day)Provide accurate and timely documentation for current patient caseloadConduct patient and family education as well as with hospital staff (physicians and nursing teams) Participate in a positive work environment to promote teamwork and communicationOur therapist-driven culture is defined by the spirit of teamwork collaboration and collegiality.
