Certified Nursing Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse assigned performs a variety of direct patient care activitiesin caring for the personal needs and comforts of the patient.

Department: Geri Psych - Seton 7 West

Schedule: Part Time

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

Key Reponsibilities:

• Provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly as well as accommodating a variety of needs specific to impairments such as hearing sight substance abuse language barriers and potential victims of abuse.
• Incorporates knowledge and understanding of our committment to patient rights exceptional care and the hospitals values and mission into his/her perfomance of job duties.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• A High school diploma or equivalent is required.

CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• Certification/Licensure: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Certified Nursing Assistant license or show proof of enrollment in accredited nursing school and completion of the courses Fundamentals of Nursing I & II. Software/Hardware: Computer experience is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• Must possess a minimum of one year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or be a matriculating student in a nursing program and have completed the Fundamentals of Nursing I & II.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Required:

• Knowledge of medical terminology is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and patients is required.
• Must be able to prioritize multiple requests to ensure timeliness and provide exceptional patient care.
• Must possess the skills to be compassionate empethetic and responsive to the needs of a variety of patients.

Compensation Range:
