As our Certified Nursing Assistant you will help our patients maintain their dignity and physical well-being by providing compassionate hands-on care so they can achieve their highest level of comfort and independence.

Every day you will manage the essential aspects of patient care including assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing grooming feeding and maintaining hygiene. You will be expected to perform basic nursing tasks including monitoring vital signs conducting bedside blood glucose testing and performing specialized respiratory care such as incentive spirometry oxygen saturation checks and nebulizer maintenance. Furthermore you will play a critical role in patient mobility by assisting with ambulation positioning and transfers while also ensuring a clean safe environment through light housekeeping and laundry duties.

To be successful in this role you must possess strong observational skills to accurately report changes in a patients condition a deep understanding of patient safety protocols and the physical endurance and empathy required to provide high-quality support in a clinical setting.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant (or military medical specialty training) program OR Licensed Practical Nursing program required.
• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (or active NA-R and proof of passing the WA NA-C
  exam) or LPN with the Washington State Nursing Commission.
• Current healthcare provider American Heart Association Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
• Excellent organizational oral and written communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic skills in using a PC required. Demonstrated experience as a nursing assistant required.
• Must be able to lift move or assist patients using proper body mechanics. The ability to occasionally lift or push up to 50 lbs. and pull up to 100 lbs. is also required.

NOTE: If you have not just completed a Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) training
program in the last 4 months & received WA Licensure with Department of Health or

worked as a paid Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) in the last 24 months you must re-
train and re-test in order to be eligible to work at Bailey-Boushay House as Certified

Nursing Assistant (NA-C).
