Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Instructor

SoCal ROC is seeking a qualified and passionate instructor to teach our CDPH-approved Certified Nurse Assistant this role you will prepare students for entry-level careers in hospitals skilled nursing facilities extended-care facilities and in-home care settings. You will guide students through both the theoretical and hands-on clinical components of the program helping them become eligible for state CNA certification and the California Home Health Aide Responsibilities Deliver classroom instruction and supervise hands-on clinical training at a skilled nursing facility Teach core curriculum topics including but not limited to: Title XXII and OBRA regulations including patient rights Vital signs fluid intake and output and specimen collection Fire/safety regulations Universal/Standard Precautions Personal hygiene body mechanics nutrition and activities of daily living Basic anatomy and physiology medical terminology and abbreviations Nursing process and communication skills In-home Care Prepare students for the California state CNA exam and Home Health Aide certificate application Develop and maintain lesson plans instructional materials and student assessments Monitor and support individual student progress providing guidance and intervention as needed Maintain compliance with CDPH program standards and requirements Foster a safe respectful and professional learning environmentRequired Qualifications Current active California Registered Nurse (RN) license and meets CDPH instructor eligibility requirements for CNA training programs Practical experience in nursing patient care specifically one (1) year must be in providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients (long-term care facility or skilled nursing facility) AND one (1) year must be in providing direct patient care employed by a Home Health
