Job Description / Essential Elements: Print

Provides an educational program for pupils in grades TK-8^th or a combination thereof; follows regularly assigned teachers lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning and that encourages students to participate; assigns classwork and homework as necessary and according to lesson plans; modifies teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students; maintains a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment; supervises students out of class such as in the hallways cafeteria and playground.

Requirements / Qualifications

Appropriate California teaching credential OR a BA degree and Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit; and authorization to provide substitute teaching services by Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) Credential Services; current TB and DOJ fingerprint clearance.
