Center Director for Preschool

A nationally accredited 5-star preschool in Wilmingtonis looking formotivated candidates for ourSchools Directorposition. A bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development orElementary Education and at least 2 yearsof experience as a director in a preschool setting is strongly preferred. Our idealcandidate must have strong leadership skills excellent communication skills and must have a good understanding of age appropriate activities for young children and be able to motivate and inspire others.

Directorresponsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop strong positive relationships with our families by meeting or exceeding their expectations
• Staff management anddevelopment
• Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
• Highly effective organizational time management and multitasking skills
• Deep love for children and a strong commitment to education
• Overseeing preschool operations including (but not limited to) human resources quality assurance and facility operations
• Manage budget
• Complying with state childcare licensing regulations
• Manage and implement Licensing and Quality Assurance standards and requirements
• Positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done whether that be acting as a Teacher hiring firing and making the hard decisions on scheduling

Requirements:

• Hold or be eligible for Early Childhood Director certificate from the State of Delaware
• Understanding of Delaware Early Learning Foundations
• BA or BS Degree in Early Childhood Education Child Development or Elementary Education strongly preferred
• DE Administrator Specialized Training is preferred
• DE Infant Specialized Training is preferred
• DE Toddler Specialized Training is preferred
• Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
• Team Player
• Commitment to Professional Development
• Prior managerial experience in an Early Childhood
