Cell Culture Associate

Job Summary
- Learn and operate complex integrated liquid-handling platforms that support small-scale 24-well and 96-well antibody purification automated expression protein quantification and buffer exchange workflows.
- Prepare qualify and validate reagents; accurately document run information; and troubleshoot biological technical or process-related issues.
- Maintain mammalian cell lines through routine culture activities including culture expansion cell harvesting cryopreservation and aseptic handling.
- Support high-throughput mammalian cell-based protein expression and related sample-processing activities.
- Maintain laboratory reagent and consumable inventories and coordinate ordering as needed.
- Contribute to workflow optimization and continuous-improvement efforts in collaboration with scientific colleagues automation partners and equipment vendors.
- Assist with the operation and routine care of automated tissue-culture systems as assigned.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in antibody discovery protein engineering protein purification and related scientific functions.
- Maintain complete accurate and timely experimental records in accordance with applicable procedures and good documentation practices.
- Follow established safety requirements laboratory procedures and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Biology Biochemistry Molecular Biology Biotechnology or a related biological sciences field.
- 0-2 years of relevant academic internship or industry laboratory experience.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the flexibility to adjust priorities in a dynamic research environment.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tools systems protocols and scientific workflows quickly.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong written and verbal communication work-planning organizational data-analysis and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of protein expression protein purification transfection or buffer-exchange techniques.
- Experience with common laboratory automation equipment such as Biomek liquid handlers reagent dispensers or integrated automation systems.
- Experience operating automated tissue-culture platforms.
- Experience with flow cytometry.
- Familiarity with antibody discovery protein engineering or early-stage drug discovery workflows.
- Masters degree in a relevant biological sciences field.
