Cell Culture Associate

• Learn and operate complex integrated liquid-handling platforms that support small-scale 24-well and 96-well antibody purification automated expression protein quantification and buffer exchange workflows.
• Prepare qualify and validate reagents; accurately document run information; and troubleshoot biological technical or process-related issues.
• Maintain mammalian cell lines through routine culture activities including culture expansion cell harvesting cryopreservation and aseptic handling.
• Support high-throughput mammalian cell-based protein expression and related sample-processing activities.
• Maintain laboratory reagent and consumable inventories and coordinate ordering as needed.
• Contribute to workflow optimization and continuous-improvement efforts in collaboration with scientific colleagues automation partners and equipment vendors.
• Assist with the operation and routine care of automated tissue-culture systems as assigned.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in antibody discovery protein engineering protein purification and related scientific functions.
• Maintain complete accurate and timely experimental records in accordance with applicable procedures and good documentation practices.
• Follow established safety requirements laboratory procedures and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications :

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Biology Biochemistry Molecular Biology Biotechnology or a related biological sciences field.
• 0-2 years of relevant academic internship or industry laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the flexibility to adjust priorities in a dynamic research environment.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new tools systems protocols and scientific workflows quickly.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong written and verbal communication work-planning organizational data-analysis and record-keeping skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of protein expression protein purification transfection or buffer-exchange techniques.
• Experience with common laboratory automation equipment such as Biomek liquid handlers reagent dispensers or integrated automation systems.
• Experience operating automated tissue-culture platforms.
• Experience with flow cytometry.
• Familiarity with antibody discovery protein engineering or early-stage drug discovery workflows.
• Masters degree in a relevant biological sciences field.
