Our innovative team is responsible for resiliency and quality customer experiences through our hardware and software running in global data centers. nnThe Edge Services team is looking for a CDN Capacity u0026 Infrastructure Manager to own capacity planning forecasting and infrastructure health across our global content delivery network. Youll be the bridge between traffic trends hardware procurement and operational reliability ensuring our edge infrastructure scales ahead of demand without overbuilding. This role sits at the intersection of network engineering data analysis and vendor/operations coordination and is accountable for making sure the CDN never runs out of headroom during peak events while keeping cost and utilization in support our expanding edge delivery footprint and high-concurrency traffic events (major OS releases live sports/entertainment streaming and continuous service growth) we need a Capacity u0026 Infrastructure Manager to lead demand forecasting fleet lifecycle execution and unit-economics optimization for our Content Delivery Network. This role bridges edge software engineering global network peering/transit and hardware supply chainestablishing rigorous capacity models mitigating long-lead hardware risks across colocation facilities and optimizing multi-terabit peering commitments. By transitioning our edge footprint to predictive data-driven modeling this hire directly protects user experience while driving discipline into our infrastructure CapEx spend.

Own end-to-end capacity planning for CDN edge and origin infrastructure including short-term (weeks) medium-term (quarters) and long-term (annual) forecasting modelsnAnalyze traffic patterns bandwidth utilization and growth trends across PoPs/edge nodes to identify capacity risks nPartner with network engineering and SRE teams to plan and execute hardware deployments decommissions and capacity rebalancing across regionsnBuild and maintain dashboards/reporting that track utilization headroom and forecast accuracy against actualsnLead capacity readiness reviews ahead of major traffic events (product launches live streams seasonal peaks)nCoordinate with vendors and colocation partners on lead times hardware procurement and site buildoutsnDevelop and refine capacity models that account for traffic imbalance failover scenarios and regional redundancy requirementsnDrive root-cause analysis on capacity-related incidents and feed learnings back into forecasting modelsnCollaborate with finance/procurement on budget planning tied to infrastructure growthnEstablish and maintain runbooks SOPs and escalation paths for capacity-related operational issuesnPresent capacity status risks and recommendations to engineering leadership on a recurring cadence

6 years of experience in capacity planning infrastructure engineering or network operations ideally within CDN cloud or large-scale distributed systems environmentsnExperience forecasting infrastructure capacity using traffic/usage datanUnderstanding of CDN architecture fundamentals (edge/PoP design caching traffic routing origin shielding)nExperience working with monitoring and analytics tooling to track utilization and performance metricsnTrack record coordinating cross-functionally with network engineering SRE and vendor/procurement teams

Familiarity with time-series forecasting methods or capacity modeling toolsnData analysis skills (SQL and/or scripting) to build forecasting models and reportingnExperience with data center or colocation site planning and hardware lifecycle managementnBackground in live-streaming or high-traffic event capacity planningnExperience with observability stacks (e.g. Splunk ClickHouse Grafana) for capacity/utilization reportingnExposure to automation/orchestration tooling for infrastructure provisioningnWritten and verbal communication skills including presenting technical findings to leadershipnBachelors degree in CS EE or related field or equivalent practical experience
