CDL-A Truck Driver Entry Level Paid Mentor Training

You got your CDL. Now you need someone to put you in a truck pay you while you learn and get you home on time. Thats this job.

Were hiring drivers from East Salinas Salinas Castroville and the rest of the valley. Recent grads and experienced drivers are both welcome.

Q: How long is training and what does it pay
3 to 5 weeks with a mentor about 200250 hours of driving. You earn $850 a week the whole time. Orientation lasts up to 2 days and pays $300 once youre hired. Lodging is covered and your bus ticket is reimbursed.

Q: What happens after training
You get your own truck and run dry van freight in the 11 western states. Runs are usually 2 days or less at miles a week. Youre home every 2 weeks.

Q: What will I make

• $1000$1300 average per week ($52000$67600 a year)
• For your first 3 months solo you wont get less than $1000 a week
• Performance bonus up to $0.06 more per mile
• $15 for every extra stop beyond the first and last
• $20 for assist or pallet jack unloads $80 for a full hand unload
• Paid every week by direct deposit

Q: Will I be unloading trucks
Almost never. About 99% of freight is no-touch and 80% is drop and hook.

Q: What kind of truck
Mostly Freightliners about 1.5 years old on average. Automatic or 10-speed. Its assigned to you. Most have an APU or inverter.

Q: Can I bring someone
An approved adult rider yes. One dog under 40 lbs can come once youre done training.

Q: What do I need

• Class A CDL 21 or older
• 2 or fewer moving violations in the last 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years
• Pass a DOT physical and a hair and urine drug test
