A dedicated reefer account out of Chicago with mostly drop and hook loads and home time once a week. New CDL grads are trained on it.

What you earn

• Paid every week during training
• About $1400 a week
• $0.60 a mile to start $0.61 at 7 months $0.62 at 14 months then $0.01 a year up to $0.70
• About 2500 miles a week
• $25 stop pay

Your week

Dedicated reefer lanes across Illinois Indiana and Ohio. Drop and hook live loads live unloads and preloads. Day and night dispatch. Home once a week for your 34-hour reset.

What happens after you apply

A recruiter calls the same business day and goes over your license and record with you. Orientation takes 2 days at most; the hotel is covered your bus ticket is reimbursed and you get $300 for attending once hired. Then you ride 4 to 6 weeks with a mentor who coaches you on backing logs fueling and trip planning and you are paid every week while you learn. When you are ready you get your own assigned truck about 1.5 years old on average.

What you need

• Class A CDL from your state of residence 21 or older
• New CDL grad with 120 school hours or 6 months of recent experience
• No more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
• DOT physical and hair and urine drug screen
