CDL-A OTR Truck Driver

San Antonio Class A drivers: $1725 a week and not one box to unload.

Picture a normal two weeks. You leave home with a planned load waiting. Your dispatcher keeps you moving across the 48 states most of it east of I-35. Every load is no-touch. You log about 2000 miles a week in a 2021 or newer Freightliner Cascadia or Kenworth that is assigned to you. Then you come home for your days off. Thats the usual rhythm: about 12 days out 2 days home. If you want a different rhythm you set it.

When things dont go to plan you still get paid: $12.50 an hour of detention after the first 2 hours and $100 a day for a layover or breakdown.

The pay

• $1725 a week
• $0.49 to $0.60 a mile based on experience
• Loyalty pay after 12 months
• $7500 sign-on bonus (eligibility terms apply)

The requirements

• Valid Class A CDL from your state of residence 21 or older
• Recent verifiable CDL-A over-the-road experience
• Acceptable driving record: 2 or fewer moving violations in the past 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 5 years
• DOT physical plus hair and urine testing
