POSITION SUMMARY |
The CDL-A Material Handler is a hybrid role responsible for material handling within the warehouse and safe operation of Class A commercial vehicles to transport paper pulp and finished goods between company facilities. This position supports mill operations by ensuring timely movement of materials adherence to customer specifications and compliance with all safety and transportation regulations. |
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS |
Warehouse & Material Handling Load unload transport and stage paper rolls pulp and materials using lift trucks and specialized attachments (forks roll clamps bale clamps). Inspect trailers prior to loading and unloading to ensure safety and compliance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE |

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS |
Prior experience in a manufacturing warehouse or paper mill environment. Fork Truck Certification. OSHA 10 certification. Experience handling large paper or pulp rolls. Inter-facility or short-haul driving experience. |
COMPETENCIES |
Frequent standing walking bending stooping reaching grasping and climbing. Ability to safely operate lift trucks and commercial vehicles. Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection safety glasses hard hat). Strong safety awareness and attention to detail. Effective communication and teamwork skills. |
WORK ENVIRONMENT |
Work is performed in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Regular exposure to heat cold noise moving equipment fumes airborne particles and chemicals. Repetitive motions and extended periods operating industrial equipment. Overtime may be required based on operational needs. |
