Role Overview

A regional chemical tanker fleet is hiring experienced CDL-A drivers for liquid bulk and hazmat freight operations throughout the Midwest and surrounding regions. This position offers strong weekly mileage premium hazmat pay opportunities regional routes and modern equipment for experienced tanker drivers seeking consistent freight.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer hauling liquid bulk and general chemical freight
• Load and unload tanker freight safely and efficiently
• Maintain DOT hazmat and tanker compliance standards
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Communicate professionally with dispatch and operations teams
• Safely manage regional delivery schedules and routes
• Follow all safety procedures when handling chemical freight

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license required
• Tanker endorsement required
• Hazmat endorsement required
• TWIC card required
• Valid passport preferred for occasional Canadian deliveries
• Minimum 6 months previous liquid tanker experience preferred
• OR 24 months recent verifiable tractor-trailer experience required
• Strong safety awareness and communication skills
• Must live within:
  • 35-70 miles of St. Louis MO
  • Kansas City MO
  • Chicago IL
  • OR Memphis TN
• No pets or passengers permitted

Compensation & Benefits

• Average weekly pay: $1200-$1800 gross
• Average weekly miles: 2200-2500
• CPM pay based on experience
• Hazmat-certified premium pay available
• Additional pay for specialty chemical loads
• Loading and unloading pay
• Utilization incentive available after 1600 miles weekly
• Orientation pay provided
• Detention pay available

Schedule & Home Time

• Regional operation
• Typically out 10-14 days at a time
• 34-hour resets completed at home
• Schedule varies based on freight demand and routes

• Additional deliveries may include:
  • Texas
  • Oklahoma
  • Canada

Equipment

• 2019 and newer Mack Volvo and International trucks
• Automatic and manual transmission trucks available
• Governed at 65 mph pedal / 68 mph cruise
• Ops-approved secure parking required
